Twelve little cylinders, two diameters, and a wooden base with a home for each one. Your child lifts them out, mixes them up, then works out which cylinder belongs in which hole. This Montessori wooden cylinder block is self-correcting: if a cylinder won't sit flush or is out of order, the child sees it straight away and puts it right without a grown-up saying a word.
It's a quiet, absorbing puzzle that lays early groundwork for big and small, ordering and comparing, all through the fingertips.

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry straight away; no soaking, no dishwasher.
Once a year (or when the wood looks thirsty), rub in a drop of food-safe oil or beeswax balm with a soft cloth.
Wood is a living material: small shifts in grain and tone are part of the toy, not a fault.
