Toy Safety & Testing
Each toy is cut from Baltic birch plywood (with beech wood components), carefully sanded smooth, and treated with natural oils and waxes that are safe for children, animals, and the environment. For coloured parts, we use natural, non-toxic paints and formaldehyde-free glue.
Our handmade toys are certified in Latvia by SIA “Latvijas sertifikācijas centrs” (LATSERT). LATSERT provides certification and testing services in accordance with international standard requirements:
- EN ISO/IEC 17065 – Conformity assessment. Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes, and services.
- EN ISO/IEC 17025 – General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
Toy type certificates and conformity declarations issued by LATSERT are internationally recognized, as LATSERT is a European Commission notified body for toy assessment in accordance with Directive 2009/48/EC, with the official notified body number 1326.
Our toys have undergone:
- EC Type Examination Certification (CE certification)
- Toy safety testing according to safety requirements and additional requirements specified by the applicant, including requirements for production control and toy safety assessment.
Our toys have been tested according to DIN EN 71-3.
Always supervise children during play and check the toy for any signs of wear or damage before use — please refer to the safety notes on each product page.
Please note that children’s abilities, developmental levels, and individual needs vary. Therefore, it is very important to carefully review all information provided for each toy in our shop before purchase, including its dimensions, any small parts, and recommended age range, to ensure that it is suitable for your child.
If you have any concerns that any part of a toy shown in the product images (such as corners, edges, or the shape of individual components) may pose a risk to your child’s safety during use, please contact us before making a purchase.
We recommend that all our toys are used under adult supervision. The decision to allow a child to use a toy without supervision should be made by parents or guardians based on the child’s age, abilities, and developmental level.
If you have any questions about any of our products, please contact us before purchase — we will be happy to provide additional information.
