Cookie Policy
Cookie Policy
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device to remember information between visits. We use them to keep the shop working, remember your choices, and — only with your consent — to understand how visitors use the site.
Categories we use
- Necessary — required for the site to work: keeps you logged in, remembers your basket, and records your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — Google Analytics, so we can see how visitors use the shop and improve it. Only loads after you accept.
- Preferences — would remember small display choices. Nothing uses this category yet, but it exists so your choice is saved and honoured if we add one.
- Marketing — would support advertising features. We run no ad campaigns today, but the category exists so your choice is saved and honoured if we ever do.
Cookies we set
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| laravel_session | TapinToys (this site) | Keeps you logged in and remembers your basket | 2 hours of inactivity |
| XSRF-TOKEN | TapinToys (this site) | Security: confirms a request came from our own site | 2 hours of inactivity |
| tt_consent | TapinToys (this site) | Remembers your cookie choices | 6 months |
| _ga | Google LLC | Distinguishes visitors for Google Analytics | 2 years |
| _ga_<container-id> | Google LLC | Remembers your session for Google Analytics | 2 years |
Both Google cookies are set only once you accept the Analytics category; nothing is sent to Google before that.
Legal basis
Necessary cookies are set under our legitimate interest in operating the shop and do not require consent under GDPR/ePrivacy rules. Analytics, Preferences and Marketing cookies are set only with your freely-given, specific consent.
Changing or withdrawing your consent
Click Cookie settings in the footer at any time to reopen the preferences panel and change your choices, including withdrawing consent entirely. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as giving consent.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Every browser lets you view, delete and block cookies from its own settings, usually under Privacy or Security. Blocking necessary cookies will likely break the basket and checkout.
Third-party data
Where you have consented to Analytics, some data is transferred to Google LLC. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles that data.
