The Ball Run Board
One winding track in a single birch board. A ball goes in at the top and takes its time, swinging left and right, while a small person watches completely still until it rolls to rest. Then again.
Nothing to assemble: one board, three beechwood balls. Lay it flat or prop one end up to change the speed, and small cars take the winding path too.
Cut, shaped and finished by hand
TapinToys is a family workshop in Latvia. We cut each toy from Baltic birch plywood, then round, sand and oil every last edge by hand.
Our toys are finished with natural oils and waxes, laid on in a thin coat so the grain and the striped ply edges always show through. Every toy is one of a kind, with its own grain and texture. Making one-of-a-kind toys is exactly the point!

Each toy isolates a single challenge, post the ball or stack the disc, so a child can master it without noise, lights or batteries.

Baltic birch ply, hand-sanded and hand-oiled. These toys are made to survive three childhoods and still look loved, not worn out.
